Medical  Marijuana​

Karma Wellness Center provides medical cannabis evaluations and certifications for patients who may benefit from medical cannabis through a New York State–approved dispensary. Medical cannabis may be considered as part of a comprehensive treatment approach for a wide range of qualifying conditions involving chronic pain, neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, mental health concerns, and other chronic or debilitating medical conditions.

New York State currently recognizes numerous qualifying diagnoses for medical cannabis certification. Conditions may include chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, cancer-related symptoms, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraines, spinal conditions, autoimmune disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and post-surgical pain, among others. During your consultation, eligibility will be reviewed based on your medical history, symptoms, and current New York State guidelines.

Patients are required to bring documentation confirming their diagnosis along with a current government-issued photo ID to their appointment. After evaluation and approval by the provider, patients will receive a medical cannabis certification valid for up to two years in accordance with current New York State guidelines. The certification is linked to your identification information for dispensing purposes at a New York State–approved dispensary.

The fee for an initial medical cannabis certification is $250. Renewal certifications are $150.
